Sajo Farm’s historic black oak is in the news!

Friday, April 9th, 2010

As we get closer to Earth Day, we are proud to pass along the success of our efforts to save one of Virginia’s largest black oak trees. This beautiful tree stands 90 feet tall at the center of our Sajo Farm new home community  in Virginia Beach. We have gone to great lengths to preserve this special tree and are proud to share our story! You can read about the tree and the preservation efforts in a recent Virginian Pilot article and in the March/April issue of Tidewater Builder Magazine.

Kudos to Daniel Spivey, Assistant Land Development Manager at The Terry-Peterson Companies and Kim Edwards, a certified arborist with LandMark Design Group for their hard work and perseverance.

Do you need help selling your current home?

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

If you are having a hard time selling your home, or if you are getting lower offers than you’d like, perhaps you should consider bringing in a professional home stager. We recently had the pleasure of hosting a Home Staging Event at Sajo Farm, one of our new home communities in Virginia Beach. Jaime Krapf of JSK Interiors presented interesting tips and tricks that are proven to help homes sell faster. Jaime provides consultation services as well as staging packages to execute changes needed, whether the home is empty or full of furniture. And don’t forget about the exterior – many decisions are made before the buyer gets to the front door.  As U.S. News reports: Staging will preserve more of the purchase price. And that’s what people need to do—all that they can to get the perceived value of their home up.
